What a 10% rating means
10% is a lower rating. It can come from one condition or from several smaller ones combined by VA's table, which does not simply add percentages.

Questions
How much is 10% VA disability per month?
A veteran rated 10% with no dependents gets $180.42 a month ($2,165.04 a year) at the rates effective December 1, 2025. At 10% and 20% the amount is the same with or without dependents.
What will 10% VA disability pay in 2027?
If the 3.6% cost-of-living increase is applied on December 1, 2026, 10% with no dependents would be about $186.91 a month. This is an estimate until VA publishes the new tables.
Why does 10% not pay more for a spouse or children?
VA adds dependent amounts only for ratings of 30% or more. At 10% and 20% every veteran receives the same amount.
